Payra 50 MW Wind Power Plant Project in Patuakhali

Project Details

The North-West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL) is the owner of the proposed wind project. The company aims to participate in renewable energy generation towards sustainable and clean energy production. NWPGCL wishes to carry out Environment Impact Assessment Study of 50 MW Wind Farms comprising of approximately 1 7 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) in Nishanbaria, Madhu Para, Char Nishanbaria and Londa Mouza, Dhankhali Union, Kalapara Upazila, Patuakhali District. The WTGs are generally arranged along the Banks of the Rabnabad River and the Andharmanik River, and some WTGs are located around the Payra thermal power plant. 
The capacity of the construction scale of the Payra wind farm is 57.8 MW, and it is planned to install 17 sets of wind turbines (WTGs) with a single unit capacity of 3.4 MW. Rated power is 3400 kW, Blade number is 3, Rotor Diameter is 140.4m and Hub height is 130m. 
Total land area requirement for the proposed wind project is approximately 11.20 acres including 8.31 acres of permanent land area of wind farm, 1.66 acres of temporary land area of wind farm and 1.36 acres of traffic land area of wind farm.
